Leroy Thomasson Family Cemetery

No damage but growth is significant, even in winter

Cemetery is set off road a bit in a clearing that is quickly going back to nature with a workshop or shed that is in dilapidation. The plot is surrounded by a chain link fence with a large double gate which while offering security, has also prevented upkeep/mowing and allowed thorny brush to take off within along with the common sight of many yucca or rock lily plants. Gate entrance is currently blocked by thorny brush, and in spring/summer/fall the vast majority of markers will disappear as well. Cemetery appears to have had all but Leroy and John L Thomasson’s markers placed at once and a much later date (Suspect around the time of Olivia Thomasson’s death in 1983. Almost all of these flat granite lawn markers have birth and or death date errors which reinforce non-contemporaneous placement. There may well be additional burials unmarked or even not currently visible as a whole section seems empty near the bottom and left when entering (see diagram)
