There appears to be some damage with an obelisk toppled and a random base unassociated with any noted marker. There are some tomb rocks that may also be down.
Prior surveys and literature notes that this is a very old cemetery that was in part or wholly moved to make way for the reservoir across the street, and then after the Town of Bedford took responsibility for maintenance. Supposedly this burial ground which is pushing 100 interments dates to the late 1700s, though I have no primary sources indicating when and who may have been buried here, and the oldest legible marker is 1871. More research is needed in this peaceful cemetery in Peaksville.
