Cemetery is not actively cared for but stands in a small clearing on a ridge and is neat with trees choking out light that would otherwise drive vegetation overgrowth – a very peaceful spot a stones throw from Smith Mountain Lake. It was just high enough to escape the waters when the damn was created and lake flooded in.
