Notes

A difficult cemetery to follow. Originally part of the Meador farm, this has since ended up in a corner of a fairly new development. In the last couple decades the cemetery was cleared and now has a nice bed of grass and is surrounded by a chain-link fence with a gate. There are 8 marked burials – mostly military markers placed in the early 1930s. Beside these one can assume spouses were laid to rest. There are several additional tomb rock marked burials, some of which are challenging to interpret directionality. It is not wholly clear why James M Basham is interred here…previous surveys describe several Jordan interments from the 1840s, however we appreciate no markers and really no justification for their location here, so we have omitted these entirely. We have included several suspected interments based on previous surveys, other sources and deduction. More research is needed here to identify/clarify interments.
